Why did you all, personally, buy a 5.0 rather than buying a 4.6? What's your reasoning behind it?

 

4.6 wasn't offered in 89

 

There are more parts available from the aftermarket for the 5.0 than the 4.6

 

more cubic inches lol

 

personally i like the looks of a fox body, but if you really want a 4.6 putting one in a nice fox has become a very popular swap.

 

yeaa especailly the 5.4 but i think its just a waste of money

 

the aftermarket world is coming in quick for the 4.6

its CHEAPER to build a 5.0 vs a 4.6......87-93 mustangs are lighter...and is a good foundation to build something fast!

i had a 4.6 DOHC Mach 1...WAYYYYYY faster than a 5.0...but motor parts (cam, intake, tb, etc) are alot more expensive...sold the mach...bought a 66 fastback (good investment) and bought a 90 gt....my new race toy!

 

5.0 parts are cheaper, easier to work on, you can make more n/a horsepower for a helluva lot cheaper then you can a mod motor. i like the way the car looks, there lighter

I got mine cause it was everything i wanted with low miles for the right price, but if it had been a 4.6 and everything else was the same I would have still bought it.
