Default tailpipe....

Have an 85 GT and my tailpipe got hit the other day in the parking lot. Want to replace both of them with nicer tailpipes, but im not sure where i should buy them from. I saw some at summit for around 40 bucks each, do you think that would be a good option? Anyone else have any other good places to recommend?

LOL. Yes, Just cut the tail pipe off right by the muffler. then weld a 45-90 degree elbow on the muffler. This is a dump!

Tailpipes are for show cars!! haha But if you have them on a lx or pre 87 GT then leave them on. I wish I had a set but I don't feel like buying 3 inch pipe to bend around the axle and out just quite yet...

The price doesn't seem too bad. I'll have money from the insurance company to buy them and they wont take much out of the total check. What do you think?

If your getting money from the insurance do it right. Full cat back! But if you are set on those ones from summit, Get 2.5" not the 2.25"
