Ok so my ashtray spring decided to die on me...

for those of you who have had this problem. what did you do to fix it? I see 50.resto sells replacement spring. they also have this kit:

I would like to fix my ashtray soon. so let me how you guys fixed yours!

I got my kit from CJ's it came in the whole resto kit. Haven't put it on yet so can't tell you how well it works but looks like it is pretty complete.

It's definately worth it. Drill a couple of small holes and mount the metal arm and new spring. I don't think it would break now if you tried.

Matt, that's the kit I used in my wifes vert. It worked great!! Def worth it

I installed the Mavromont Industries ash tray door fix 8 yrs ago, I've never had a problem with the door staying closed since.
