Default motor help.

Hey everyone i got a 81 tbird. It has a 255 in it but thats going. I bought two 88 h.o. 302s from a buddy. So far ive stripped one down to the block and heads. I got sum gt-40ps for it not installed yet, bbk short headers ( sum have told me they will and will not work with these heads), Edelbrock torker II 4 barrel intake, holley 650. Thats all for now. But im lookin for a cam, anyone got a good recomendation for a cam to go with this setup. And any other recomendations? Thanks. Rob.

Custom grind, or a good ots from Crane/Comp etc that's in the rpm range you're looking to make power. And I'd get rid of the Torker II intake, if you go with a single plane you might as well get a Vic Jr, but then you're talking about turning more rpm. Edelbrock RPM/Air Gap or a Weiand Action Plus(pn 8124 which is new) or a Stealth.

edelbrock RPM would be better to use. I haven't heard of any problems with those headers and the cast gt-40ps. I'd truthfully suggest getting rid of those and going aluminum though. There is much more than just components that affect cam choice....is it a daily driver? strip car only? rpm range? max rpm? hydraulic or solid lifters?
