OK, I'll be the realistic one, never gonna happen. There's a lot involved in going 10's. Your recipe is not one of them.[&:]

Off topic but Pro50SC-Do you run at Cecil County?

If so, we should meet up there when the weather breaks.

The guy who helped with my engine install and runs 10.20's on his 93 Mustang goes there quite a bit. He's actually the guy that's going to be on Pinks at Englishtown.

I agree tough in that 10's in going to be a stretch at $1,000.

10's for $1000?
I don't think so.
At any strip I've been to in the past 20+ years thee are rules about the way the car has to be equiped.
Such as....
6 point rollbar
Shoulder harness/seat belt meeting SFI spec's.
Aftermarket rear axles/'C' clip eliminators
SFI spec harmonic balancer.
Even doing all the work yourself this stuff alone will cost most of the $1000......

Nope, I hear it's a really nice track but it's 2-2.5 hr drive. That's the only thing stopping me though.

My opinion is, just build it for cheap, have fun, and see what happens. I wouldnt have a set time you plan on running, just have a good time with it. Junkyard builds are always fun

I'm not worried at all about the car being reliable because I know its not going to be. But horsepower is horsepower, no matter how you do it or how cheap it is. If this car weighs 2800 pounds or less and has 500 horsepower theres no reason it shouldn't go 10's. One time or not I want to get a 10 second slip with this car.
