What's it worth? Mustang Coupe
Ok here is the deal, I have a Mustang Notch 1989 Factory 5.0
AOD, 135K "Not a sport model" But has quad shocks ect.
Car is in great condition and is totally unmodified. Very much a rust free car.
I had it listed for $4000 and figured I'd take a "reasonable" offer.
Well I had some joker show up yesterday, after waiting for him most of the morning.
He shows up and tells me that the car only books $1700 dollars in mint condition and that he would give me $1500.00.
LOL..... $1500? Look I am not an idiot, I use to buy and sell Land Cruisers they dont book crap either. Book value is irrelevant.
Then there are two sides of the fence.
One person will try to knock you on the price because it has no aftermarket parts, then the next guy will say I'd spend more money for a stock car so I can add my own parts. So what is it?
And what is a Factory 5.0 Totally Stock Mustang Notch worth?

Street value $2500 - $4000 depending where you live and the going value for similar cars in your area.
My 87 when it got hit in the condition it was in with 300k miles and mostly due to the mods and added options was appraised at just under $4000. About a month before I got hit had someone offer me $5000 for it.
If I had the money (sadly I don't right now) and you where local I'd offer you $3000 straight up. That is one nice looking Notch!
Print out this picture of my car and if the guy comes back tell him come back with a real offer or don't comeback at all.

Thanks, I mean this guy made me feel like I fell off the damn loony bus or something, I have sold 30 cars in my lifetime and I am only 30 so that's alot. And I always get what I ask for.
When he quoted book price I was about to boot him in the *** and send him packing.
Thanks for the encouraging words of wisdom.

4 grand is very fair for a bone stock mass air notch that is cleaner than an operation room.
I paid 3 grand for my vert which had 121K on the odometer, no radio, some bolt ons and was in an accident at some point in its life, as noted on the title etc...

I figured that, I was also thinking tax time is here so it was worth a shot.
Besides dont need to sell it,

Where are you located?! I have been looking for a clean notch like that forever! I would give 4g's in a heartbeat for that car. Worth every penny, you have a car that is getting more Rare each and every day, get your asking price for it. [sm=signs003.gif]
