i have an opportunity to trade my edelbrock performer rpm heads with 1.9 valves for trick flow 2.02. my question is will i have to notch my pistons? i have stock 306 hypertechs with 9 to 1 for compression

if they're twisted wedges you'll be fine.

it depends on what cam your running (im assuming its not the stock cam). Just remember to check it before you torque the heads down

Why would you make that head trade? You can still make awsome power with a 1.90 valve RPM head. And depending on the build, you may be better off with a smaller valve. Smaller valve = higher velocity induction charge.

Dman, did you have to do anything to the valve reliefs in the stock pistons to run that cam with 1.94's?
