Default Hid Kit

Has anyone bought any head kits for the fox body mustangs from stangnet or anywhere else. Im thinking about doing the hid kit thing. I dont really care for the whole rice look, however I drive A LOT at night, and would like my lights to be as bright as possible.

The only thing I am concerned about is that the hid kit will be taking away my high beams, I will only have lows. So, with this being said my question is this.

Which is brighter, single beam hids, or High beam "clear headlights" with silverstar bulbs?

I'm curious about that myself. I drive to work in the morning a little after 6 and its still pretty dark. It'd be nice to shed some light on the situation, lol literally. I think they look pretty sweet myself.

Ive been looking into this as well. There was a post a while back about it. There were some pics of a 5.0 with them. They look really nice depending on the type and car color (like 6000, 8000 bla bla) The highter the number the further on the spectrum. (white to blue to purple) From what i understand dual beams are the way to go but i cant find a website that sells dual beams for 87-93 mustangs. Hopefully someone here can help?
With hid you will be set for night driving they work really well. They are bright enough i doubt you would need the high unless your really crusin down the road at night.

imo if your gunna do it...go big. and fab up a true hid projector.
if not, just get silverstar bulbs and polish your lenses.
or buy some repro stuff. but stay away from crap like the APC headlight/projector ****
its a waste of$$$ that you need elswhere and its inferioir .

im ordering a 10k kit this next coming week i had already got a kit but they sent me the wrong ones so i sold them but the HIDs are going to be way brighter than silverstars and do really help i rode in my friends 04 cobra that had the silverstars in when he bought it and then after he put a 6k kit in and there is a huge difference and really makes the car look better too with oncoming traffic if you like that look.

I just got an HID kit for my car, and I can honestly say that its WELL worth the money.

I had silverstar ultra headlights, Hella's, regular silverstars.... nothing compares to the HID's

good to see that your around adder. Did the hid kit you buy come from stangnet, and or does it have both highs and lows.

If it only has lows, are your lows brighter then your old brightest brights?

Since you are a very knowledgeable person, do you know if they make real hid kits that have dual beams, for the 87-93s?
