I've been offered to trade my 88 gt for a 90 t-bird super coupe. The SC justs needs u-joints. Labor time calls for like 2.5 hrs cuz you gotta remove the gas tank, but i'm okay with the work. Its in good shape, good paint. My car runs strong and just got the tranny rebuilt. Theres some rust and the l/f fender and cowl hood are both primered. Now, I drive bout 35 mins to work everday and I figured the SC would be better on gas, and performance wise, the 2 cars are bout the same. Any input??

 

Supercoupes have ***** for sure but they also like using head gaskets. The only things that steared me away from them was the fact that they have a complecated suspension and such they are just so much more complex.

 

+1 on being more complex. I just fell in love with them when a friend of mine had one in high school.

 

Keep the fox!!! I was never too impressed w/ those cars and they're a PITA to work on.

 

They are awsome considering the fact that they are sixers. I think the one I test drove pulled harder then my 5.0 but I think it was because it had better gear ratios from the 5spd swap.
Just think what would you sell you 5.0 for is there anything on it that you predict being a prob in the future you may be better off getting rid of it.

just rust spots... some minor dents, nothing to serious. needs paint baaaad....

I would go with the super coupe, a SC 6 just sounds like a lot of fun.
