Default e7 heads question

hey guys, i got some e7s for 25 bucks, complete and ready to swap.

there is a guy around me that works heads, and has offered to do mine. he has a ton of worked e7 and knows what he is doing. how would these stack up to some gt40s? those are some good heads from what iv been reading.

EDIT: also, what heads are on my 85? is is 85-e5 and they changed to e6 in 86...then changed again in 87 to the e7s and left them that way on the 87+?

e7's are stock. I wasn't aware that 5.0's used to not have e7's. As far as compared to other gt-40's they suck. Really they are not good heads.

Stock E7s flow somthing like 164 cfm and stock GT40Ps flow 190s. Find a totaled V8 Explorer for some GT40s.

im getting these for 25bucks dude.... its gonna cost a few hundred to get em ported and they will outflow gt40s

form what iv seen gt40s even used go for around 300. so id rather have something that outflows them for cheaper. i found an article on e7s and they confirmed my question.
