Default heater core part??????

hey guys. I am in the process of getting a parts list together for my busted heater core. Someone mentioned a restrictor that controls flow at high rpms. They mentions police models. What is it and where can i get it?
Thanks steve

Its a small restrictor placed on the inlet side of the heater core to smooth out waterpump pulsations in an attempt to prolong heater core life. Its Ford part# E7VY-18D358-A or 50restos got em. http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...1&comp=LRS

Get a Ford OEM core unless you want to do it again in a year or so.
