Work Debate
I want to settle a little debate at work with some of your guys opinions since you guys know your stuff and arent just full of bs, how often should you change your differential fluid?
i say i wasn't sure on it , i did change mine and used royal purple in it but far as at what mileage i had no clue . the owners man actually said never ? wonder why cause that fluid gets dirty and breaks down same as the others
They claim its permanently lubricated... Just like non-servicable U-joints and stuff.. Perfect until the day they break, then buy new ones again.
If it wasn't so cold and raining I'd go out and get my manual and quote it, just for fun. So anyhow, what was the dude at work saying?

^^^^^^^it's not that it's on a 30k cause it's not...alot will depend on the use??...normal use or severe use......you can even say 60k but I wouldn't go more than that....heck alot of the cars sold now a days don't even state an inerval for diff service... a few cars that have come in in recent days I looked over them for diff servive and none was ever listed..and come to find out it often says in the 30, 60 or 90 k services to inspect fluid for diff and if it looks bad then it's a add on up sale service...even a few dealers I called were doing that.. so it's a you make the call deal but between 30 and 60 I'd do it for prolonged rear end use
