Default 93 Cobra Power figures

Okay this has probably been beat to death, but I can't remember off the top of my head. '93 Cobra was rated at 235 hp, with the iron GT40 heads and the intake, 65mm TB, 1.7RR. What was the real horsepower figureanyone can recall???...at the wheels. Any '93 Cobra owners ever dyno their car stock?

Did the cobra motor use the stock HO cam? I can't remember that either right now. I am just curious as I am trying to acquire parts it seems I will have a very similar set up. Thanks in advance.

i dont know an exact number but they were under rated, it used a different cam from the stock ho you can obtain 300 rwhp with a little porting of the heads

They used a different cam, and put down about 230-240hp to the wheels...

Stock GT usually pushes the rollers to a mediocre 190-200rwhp.

'95 Cobras dyno around 220whp stock, the '93 Cobra might be a lil more. The engines were tuned so horribly from the factory, with some tuning they can be made pretty stout in stock form. I can't remember the exact HP number but I thought it's capable to about 300hp at the crank in stock form with proper tuning.

The '93s were rated less than the '94/'95s but I wouldn't be suprised if they made slightly more. They did come with bigger throttle bodies, and maybe some other things that escape my mind. Adder has mentioned on a couple occasion that he managed to get his to dyno 270 mostly stock with a killer tune.

back when the 93 cam out they pitted it against a new lt-1 camaro z-28 in one of the mustang mags and said although power output was rated at a conservative 235...the editor stated it should of been closer to 255+
