Default Spring Compressor

Does someone make a coil spring compressor specifically for Fox bodies? Ive heard people talk about it before but no-one seems to know where to get one. Anybody have any links to one? At one point I think I remember someone saying Ford makes one but Im not for sure. These springs are giving me fits. Thanks

put a jack under the control arm after setting spring in place.......I had mine on a lift so I secured body to the lift and used the weight of the car to ut them in place... or have a few people sit on top of the fender while jacking into place

Ive also heard of people strapping them but I dont have any kind of strap that could hold that much pressure.

well then place a jack under control arm the best you can and jack it up using weight of car to compress and then seriously have a few people sit on top the fender being careful not to dent it

When I did mine I did exactly what mjr is telling you to do, minus the people on the fender. My car came off of the jackstand by about 1/2" and stayed right there until the bolts where in. I did, and do recommend, using a second jackstand for safety incase something should happen to go wrong. Meaning you should have 3 jackstands supporting the front of the car when doing this (2 on the side that you're lifting).

Thanks for the link Pro but heres my dilema: Ive tried a compressor like that and the spring has to be compressed so far that the threaded stem is too long and wont fit. Basically the stem ends up being alot longer than the spring. Im putting in Drap springs and theyre the same height as stock. Thanks

How did you do that Adder? Drop the control arm and then jack under it?
