Im relatively new in the forum thing.

i have a 91 notchback with headers h-pipe and flows.
electric fan also. i am getting about 700 dollars in two weeks i was just wondering what the best thing to get would be?

Buy yourself a set of 4.10's and have them installed.

Suspension & gears is what I would do first!

 

4.10's may be fine in an S197 but unless you want your teeth chattering on the freeway go 3.55's and build some motor. Believe me bro, my friend did 4.10's inhis fox with no motor and it was fun around town but we had to take an hour and a half roadtrip to the track on the highway to o watch some racingand I kept wanting to reach over from the pasenger seat and shift gears. We were in 5th...it's to much gear for the 5.0 unless you're only gonna run it at the track and nothing else. Gears are a fantastic mod but ride in a 4.10 equipped fox and you'll see what I mean. My 3.55's almost render 1st gear useless...

i use 3.73 gear in mine , have no issue with drive ability .still get decent mileage and i amnot peggin out the tack on the freeway either .it all depends on what you are wanting tobuild , i wanted something that i could take to the trck make decent et's and still be able to load up the kids and take em for icecream in the fox rod if i wanted to.
