I am going to have just over 2 grand into mine with me doing all the body work. That includes the paint, primer, prepping materials and $800 to have it sprayed professionally. The car will be going to the body shop in primer, the jambs done already, wet sanded and ready to spray. I am getting a lifetime warranty on the paint and a guarantee that it will look good.

I sent my car to the painters with the engine, ground effects, cowl, front & rear window trim, door handles, hatch lock, side 1/4 window, rear wing, front and rear bumper cover, and interior all removed + some other things I'm probably missing. Along with the stock Hood and a Cobra R hood Cost $2,890

how much would you guess it would cost if i didnt have anything disasembled. average body work will need to be done (couple small dents and stuff) and i want them to do the jams and engine bay and everything. what would you except to pay for a quality paint job for a change of color (black to sonic blue) and for the color to stay the same (black)? i have heard 2-3 grand then i hear people saying like 6 grand.

The color change is gonna be tough(as in more money)because they have to sand alot down, I'm not sure an exact price to get a good color change id expect to run about 4,000 minimum for a satisfying job. To keep it black and get it re-painted id look at 3,000 even and that would get you a nice asssparkle. One thing I learned about cars is make friends with the paint buisness.
