A while back, I ordered a B&M Hammer Shifter #81002 for my 87 GT, took it to a shop to have it installed & they only installed it enough for me to get it home & completely finish it myself. Well, they did not adjust the cable (along with various other things) and when I went back to have them fix it, they couldn't, I'd put it all back together & they threw away my instructions. Would anyone happen to have the instructions for this model so I can fix it? I know it must be adjusted from the console, but thats about it.

Thanks, but I've been there many times. They had a forum & would only send it to me if I put my address up for everyone to see. No PM's, no email. Now the forums are gone. Someone sent me a link for a download, but it was for a universal shifter & did not have the info I need.

its accually adjusted from the bottom of the car.fallow the shift cable,should be on drivers side of the car.theres a bolt that holds the cable in place.MAKE SURE THE TRANSMISSION IS IN PARK.loosen the bolt,then go shift the hammershifter into park.go back down and tighten the bolt.should be adjusted.hopefully this helps!

 

Thanks, I'll try it. Nobody has been able to find it so far, it said right on my instuctions that it had to be adjusted from the console. Even the stupid mechanic said that when I took it back. But, I hope you're right, thanks!
