this guy claims this mustang with a ford racing crate motor with the b 303 cam runs a 12 second 1/4
is that reasonable at all because im thinking its not

 

it could, but i'd imagine he has a little bit more done to it.

 

well as far as i know its just a straight crate motor from FR

 

With the right weight, gearing, tires, suspension etc it can be done.

i could see it happening if the guy can drive.

 

If he is running slicks and has his suspension set up

 

there is a guy at our track with a 89 mustang and a stock bottom end roller block with b-cam ...gt-40p heads, victor single plain home ported and 650 carb and of course exhaust, gears and stall convertor and he used 1.6 rockers on intakes and 1.7's on exhaust and car weighs 2850 with out him in it and he ran 11.80's this past weekend

 

my neighbor up the street is running stock 302 T-5, with steeda 19 cam and rollor rockers. he has 3.90 gears(i think) and lots of suspension and tires he runs anywhere from 11.9 to 12.2.

 

my '89 went 13.20's w/ a bone stock motor....it had 4.10's , exhaust, cai, and et streets
then w/ a 75 shot it went 12.50's

so yeah, actually if he didn't go 12's i'd sink the car and report it stolen
