Default Major Decision

I just sold my 5.0LX convertible today so now I have 5000 sitting to by a new mustang and im faced with a rather large problem. I am offered a 92 hatchback 5.0 with 70,000 miles on it for 1500 dollars but also needs a new paint but I also really want an sn95 so should I go with the hatch and paint it or spend the next few months searching for a nice sn95. Is their a difference between the weight?, handling?, or anything else between the fox and sn95, Im not too familiar with them.

If im not mistaken, the foxes are 100 lbs more or less lighter, but the SN95s are stiffer, and handle a little better, but IMHO its much better to buy that fox for 150, spend 500 on a decently good paint job, and then put the other 3ks into suspention and some power, and run circles around an sn95 that you pay 4 or 5k for

The sn95 do handle better but weigh more. i dont remember the exact waits it was on a post not to long ago i think they weighed similar to the verts like what you just sold. Some of the later foxes had forged internals but im not fimilar with the years. if you want an sn95 id wait till you find one they handle better, have nicer interior andIMO look alot better. plus if the car needs paint like you said it does thats gonna eat up the rest of your cash if not more.
i paid 4400 for my 95 with 135 000 on it and a few bolt ons. which is a really good deal cause im in anada and cars are way over priced here. im sure you could find one similar ordo better.

You could buy the 92 and put a $500 paint job on it and sell it for about $3k and you would have about another $1k to spend when you find the car you really want.

get the fox..if it's only 1500 and needs a little paint job then you'll still be left with money in your pocket after thatand be further along in the mod process than you would be with the sn-95 bought at a higher price most likely and fairly stock
