I know this is the 5.0 section, but i get more honest answers here, and people actually try to help out here more than the 4.6 section [&:]

I'm going to help my friend make his exhaust louder, if we gut the cats on his 99 gt will it mess up the 02 sensors?

Or what would i need to do to make it louder without changing the setup... hes short on money, and this is just temporary...

I know headers h pipe and nice mufflers are down the road for him, just not anytime soon..

I appreciate the help..

well, the cats are after the o2 sensors, so i doubt anything would go wrong
