Alignment Question
I finally put my car back on insurance and am about to go get an alignment this week but before i do i was reading in another forum that after a 5 lug conversion (sn95 spindle) that.....
Is this true. Do i extend it out or in? I took it around the block and it does seem like im on ice but do i have to do this......does the tie rod go back to the way it was after the alignment or no?
Suggestions?

To adjust the toe-in, you will need to turn the tie-rod 11-13 turns on each side. THIS IS NOT AN OPTION - the car will act as though it is on ice if you run it on the street with that much toe-in.
After adjusting the toe enough to be able to safely drive the car.
Im waiting on spindles and calipers that I bought off another forum and then Im going to do the 5 lug conversion on my car.

To get the toe close enough to drive it, take a tape measure and measure the distance between the front of both tires and at the rear. Begin adjusting both tie rods until the measurement is the same, front to back. The steering wheel may not be straight, but the car will drive correctly. Once at the alignment shop, everything will be corrected from that point on.
That worked thanks pro
Now i have another issue.... right now i have 235/45/17 on the front......why when i drive it does the front settle down further in the front than it does just sitting and hits the top of my tire sometimes. The car is lowered like an 1.5" in the front. Why would it do this stock tire size would be 245/45/17. im already smaller than that. Shocks are new from last year strange 10-ways. I have them now set at the stiffest to try to stop it
Should i put in a spacer in the spring or something?

i know right. Its not bumps in the road. but driving the car brings down the front maybe a 3/4" to where its sitting on the tire. but just sitting there it has that clearance. Everything is torqued right. im bringing it toa shop on thur. He said he would look at it
Shouldnt i have clearance tho with the setup i have. I think its funny how a 5 lug conversion somehow lowered the front of the car
Im gonna play around with it when i get out of work at 6 so ill try to give an update and picks after

while driving on my driveway...(its newly paved) the tires start rubbing the fender constantly ..no pause...when im driving really slow. i get out to look and their is 3/4 clearance.
It doesnt hit anywhere else ive examined the whole inner fender plus i can see it on the tire where im hitting. Its right where the flare curves back in and the mtl ends
And no i dont weigh 400 lbs lol...so its not the weight of me
