Default help- getting road ready/finding parts

My friend is graduating high school this year, and as a grad gift his parents are taking his Tbird off the road- and putting their 87 GT hatchon for him. black/grey low mile and option car. anyway, heres the deal-

it hasnt been driven more then a couple hundred miles since 2003. Maintanence wise, it needs a thermostat and newfront pads.We already figured it would be best to change out the oil and plugs, but what else should we do to it? full fluid flush?

and for parts, Im not sure where he could find this stuff for a decent price-

-front/rear ford emblems
-both outer door handles
-foglight
-headlights

I found the economy headlight kit at latemodelrestoration. how good is that? Might get him it for graduation

Just do a complete tune up on the car. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, pads, flush radiator, check diff fluid etc, etc... Check tires for rot

If it hasn't been started regularly you might consider draining and flushing the gas tank and maybe replacing the lines. Of course the battery is probably gone as well, oh and belts as well. Those belts are probably very cracked and dangerous by now.

When i got mine last year it had been sitting for 10 years.

Do a full tune up and WATCH the Coolingsystem. I had to replace everything that deals with cooling..It went one by one after I flushed the system.

Radiator
waterpump
hoses
t-stat
timing cover
heatercore

all went bad within a few months of daily driveing
