RE: First time on slicks
Most drag strips will not let you run your Slicks unless you have a driveshaft safety loop! Our local track (Heartland Park Topeka) wouldnt let my buddy run his 80's firebird cause he was running non DOT slicks. just somthin to consider.. Ive gotta get a safety loop for my car as well.

RE: First time on slicks
yeah i have a driveshaft loop already, but i dont think any slicks are DOT approved just drag radials but i could be wrong

RE: First time on slicks
It all depends on the track and how strict they are. I've been teched once. The guy ask me to open my hatch and he said nice job. I know by battery box (or lack there of) is not legal. I've never been asked for a loop.

RE: First time on slicks
Thanks
yeah i am hoping since its just a test and tune day they will let some stuff slide and just tell me what i need to do for next time...i have all the brackets to put the battery box back in just thought a system was a better idea at the time lol |
RE: First time on slicks
Since i have had traction issues in the past do you guys think it would be smart to leave my amp and box(probably around 75lbs) in the back or should i take it out?
