yea only get it media blasted if you got like 6 coats of paint on the car and what i mean like 6 coats i mean like the car was white then red then black then blue then white and now is red you know. Or get it media blasted if you got allot of money or you want it to be like a real show car and your willing to put some bucks into it because everything has to come off and you will be doing allot more work since you will find allot more things wrong then how you thought the car was. look into backing soda blasting if your really want to get it blasted. A good paint job with out blasting which most people dont get done anyway. would be like 4-6 grand.

idk, it depends on where you live honestly... i know my friends dad just had a 89 f150 painted by a local shop that did an excellent job on it... they even removed the cab and bed and painted the undersides... cost 1580... i had my quoted to get it painted there.. and have panels aligned and some rust fixed, they told me around 2k..... but i think im going to go ahead and repair the rust and remove and prime the body myself and then have them paint it...

If you want to drop it off, and pick it up finished, EASY 5K+ depending on how you want it to turn out.....that is a lot of hours of labor just in tear down and reassembly.

Hell I will have over $2500 into mine and I have done all the tear down, body work, primmer, and will be doing all the cutting in. That cost includes a lot of things though like glass removal/installation, new badges, door handles, hinges, fasteners, weather stripping, moldings, and a lot of other little things it takes to do it right. If I paid someone to do all the work I have done it would be close to 5K if not more, and I didn't take it down to metal either.

Materials are so expensive these days if using the good stuff. You will spend atleast $500 for some Dupont chroma base/clear. Then primers, sealers, mud, cleaners, laquer thinner, plus if you wet sand and buff its gonna be 3 different compunds and different pads. Lots of money just for materials

yeah i was thinking some where between 3,000 to 5,000. the body is in good shape. it has the same paint on it form 1992. theres no visable rust on it. i would keep it the same cool. its blue with sliver bottom. i've tried to put some pics up but they say my pics are to big. the paint would be the very last thing i do to the car.
