Default backfire

Hey quick ? Sometimes when i start up the stang once in a great while when i rev it up some it will backfire, It never does it when driving tho and only when the engine seems to be cold. Could it have something to do with the fact that i have no cats justa xpipes and mufflers?? car runs and drives perfect to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks!

mine does this too but i think i've linked it to leaky injectors. so i picked up 8 new injectors free so i'm going to swap em out and see what happens. i've set, checked EVERYTHING and mine still backfires a bit at first start up and smells of raw fuel. after its run for a minute or two all these symptoms are gone.

well when your car is cold, to warm it up the computer dumps lots of fuel in, so it runs very rich at cold start up..and since you have no cats it jsut sits there..

what are you talking about. its just idling and if i put any load on the car its "pop pop pop pop" little bitty backfires and she holds back as if she has the e brake on. i'm not going WOT or anything im just trying to drive off. i dont know about those other guys but thats my issue. she doesnt run right until my temp registers on my guage at 100* then all the resistance and backfiring stops
