Default I need some trans. help fella's

Hi fella's.I put a B&M shift improver in my 86 GT vert about a month ago and all was well. Last night I noticed that when I took off from a stop the trans. started in 2nd gear. Next stop it did it again and did not down shift as I came to a stop. Today it is all messed up. It doesn't shift at all. Seems to stay in 1st. When I move the shifter to 1st it stays in first(on the gas and off). When it's in drive, if i let off the gas at say 20mph the rpms drop like it's in neutral. I have to give it enough gas to where it would downshift to 1st for the car to accellerate. I think it's shifting out of 1st,but 2nd, 3rd and overdrive are not engaging. Reverse works fine. I also noticed when I shift to drive from reverse after backing up that it goes into gear very hard. Sometimes chirping the tire. Please help!!! I can' drive it!!

I also noticed some trans. fluid dripping from the front of the tranny. It's coming from the same spot as a rear main seal leak. it's definitely tranny fluid as it is red.

Sounds like the front pump seal is leaking. Have you checked the fluid level? The shifting issue, might be time for a new tranny.

like he said^^^^sounds like front pump seal..as for the no shifting issue sound like an internal trans failure as long as fluid level is at proper range and linkage is properly adjusted as to not have cable bind either

I did, When I got to my garage it was at the bottom of the x's. I put one quart in and nursed it home in (in 1st.). Checked it at home, (7 miles) and it showed a quart to much.
