MSD Ignition Install *PICS*
Would anyone mind showing me where you mounted your MSD box? I've got a 90 Fox, Charger and factory batter location and NOW things are tight in there. I was wondering if any of you have a similar setup and have a sweet spot to still put it in the bay? Pics would be helpful!

It is time for a battery relocation my friend! Many people mount it there. I have mine where your battery sits but my battery is located on the other side from the factory. I am supposed to have the overflow/windshield washer resevoir there but I never put it back on my car.
But for alternate locations
under passenger seat
glove box
remove arm rest and mount there
passenger side trans tunnel (inside the car)
I doubt you do but if you had a SN dash swapped into it you can mount it inside the passenger air bad compartment. That is where I will be mounting mine once I get the swap done.

Battery to the back time.
I have all electrics on one side, all fuel related items on the other.

RE: MSD Ignition Install *PICS*
Thanks for the options guys. I bought a relo-kit but decided it against it. I didn't want to deal with having to drop the tank, etc. So, I ended up mounting the MSD under the driver seat. It barely gets warm there, it's easy to access if I want to replace the RPM jumpers and running/extending the wiring was a breeze. A word of note for anyone who wants to do this:
[ul][*]Make sure you buy the correct gauge wire if extending (MSD recommends going one gauge up on the power/ground wires) *wire gauge is opposite. So if you have a 16G wire, you'd use a 14G.[*]Extend all wires, run them through the firewall and leave plent of it hanging out until you're ready to trim and make connections[*]You don't have to extend the ground wire. It's long enough and you can mount it to the inside of the car body under the carpet. I chose to run mine back up through the firewall and mounted it to the inside fender (driver) just behind the battery, there's already a grounding spot there.[*]I have a convertible and almost chose the spot behind the rear seat where the convertible top pump is mounted. PLENTY of space in there for all kinds of goodies! I just didn't want to lengthen wire that long. [/ul]

Really? Well, i'd have a heck of a time getting my hand up under there. If you've got some info on where the two mounting screws go I may give it a try.
I realize this is an old thread (a few weeks) but I hate reading threads that have no resolution to them. So, I figured I come back for one last update.
If you want, PM me with info on the relo. I'm telling ya though, I didn't say ANY way I coudl get my hand up there to reach at least one of the mounting bolts.
