i have a msd ignition kit, distributor, wires, etc. when i unplug the pill in the distrubitor wire harnes and set the idol it sets fine. when i plug the pill in it jumps to 3000 rpms. i have tried it at top dead center and +14.i have also tried to manually adjust it down w/ the pill in. it sets but when i try todrive it has no power over 2500 rpms. it is like it looses all power.the previous owner ran it at +14 w/ 93 octane. i would like to do the same.i really apreciate all the help guys im still learning about engines. but if you have an suspension question i'd be glad to answer it.

 

any time you set timing, the spout MUST be removed... reset your computer, pull the spout, and try again

 

how do i reset the computer. once i reset the comp. do i need to set back to #1 plug and all the manual stuff again or will it pull itself in.
