Power steering pump removal/installation?

I need to change my power steering pump, but i cant seem to fit the pully remover between the pully and the coolant tank. Is the normal? do i move the tank or what

You need a different puller and install tool rather than your standard puller to remove andreinstall the pulley.

This is the removal tool;it clamps over the nose piece of the pulley.
This is the install tool you'll need.

maybe the remover i have is longer or something but it looks the same

You're clamping the clam shell piece around the nose pieceof the pulley, and then threading it into the center part ?

maybe i have a different end piece. Do you have to use it with an end piece?

yeah but i dont have enough room to twist the bolt into the nut, the end of the bolt i have to put it between the space in the coolant tank
