RE: speaker sizes
5x7 and 6x8 are just different bolt patterns in what is essentially the same speaker frame. I know it sounds goofy, but think of it like a 5.0 being a 302. Same thing, just a different way of putting it.
In terms of what fits the doors, I couldn't tell ya. I gave up quick and decided to build custom door pods. From my memory (which sucks) I think you can go with a max of about 2" mounting depth in the stock doors before you hit the window run channel. Look at specs until you find less than 2". I know pioneer and maybe alpine have slim-line models now.

Thanks lot, do you know if 4 inch would fit in dash? I found some pioneer ones for the door and back but they dont come in 3.5 inch. Would they still sound good if i just left the stock 3.5 in there or get a diff brand speaker? Or should it be same all around. Thanks

RE: speaker sizes
4" would fit with a little modification in terms of diameter, but the dash isn't very deep on the driver's side so the additional thickness of a 4" would probably stop ya.
Honestly, I wouldn't even bother with the dash speakers. 3.5"s never sound very good in my opinion. Find some quality 5.25"s that fit the doors and just run those. Or, if you don't mind losing the foot room, get some kick panels and a nice set of 6.5" components.

RE: speaker sizes
I have JBL GTO 3.5s in my dash, and they are "ok". Plenty loud, but very shrill. They were cheap though, I think $35 for the pair. Check into the pioneers for door speakers, I don't think they were very expensive either, and are probably a large upgrade from stock.
