I drove my stang in the winter here in PA, one day we had a bad blizzard when I went to work, kept her slow and didnt do anything too crazy and I was fine,

drove it on black ice, at a 4 mph crawl, got home safe... then couldnt pull into my parking spot out side my school apt...

2 friends and some kitty litter got her in the spot.... my BFGs wouldnt grab for crap

if you get some blizzaks its very doable.
my dad drives his v6 every winter with goodyear assurances and never has a problem,
i had decent tires on my car this past winter and got caught in a storm and was driving down a road and i kept slowing down until i was stuck haha, had to have my friend tow me home. got the car stuck twice in the one winter i've had it. good luck, get good tires and kept it under control gas wise and you'll be fine.
DONT MICHIGAN WINTERS SUCK!!

rearwheel drive + snow, mud = crash/stuck

Got a 2001GT stuck in the snow, then stuck on flat pavement and it wouldn't budge.

Got my 88GT stuck in the mud on a trail recently.[:@]
why the hell is your 5.0 on a "trail" to begin with ?!??!

It had rained heavily in AZ recently, even more up north. The next day it was absolutely clear out, which made me forget how much water could of accumulated on the trails. 30FT of the trail was damp and then before I know it I was in pure mud...I guess thats why there's a thing calledOff Road vehicles.

even if could drive in the winter, why would you if you care about your stang. the salt on the road surface will eat that body away like cancer.

You'd be alright, we had an 87 parts car and I learned the basics of a stick in that car in the middle of january and I'm also in Michigan. That was with no weight in it. Throw some sand in the back and take it easy and you should be ok. Also, the 87GT was a 5 spd.

i live in illinois an normally we dont get a crap load when it snows where i am but the one day when i was still in highschool my two buddies had theres at school..the one called his dad before it had snowed n told him to bring his truck n take the stang home..the other waited till we got out early cuz it had snowed like 6 inches in an hour..that was fun takin it home lol..he tried to turn left at an intersection and ended up doin a donut and endin up the other way..so we took a different route home...ive never tried to drive mine in snow..i have a truck for that..but i imagine the 315s wouldnt do so well..and 275s in front is hard to push thru snow anyway lol...so in the end..id say just be safe n find a beater to drive during the snow..who cares if it gets salt corrosion(which will happen if you drive the stang) its a beater anyway lol...
