Default Ignition box worth it?

Have a little money left overfrom my h/c/i, was thinking about an ignition box and coil. Don't know if this would be worth the money or should I spend it somewhere else? I am going to do full suspension next spring, happened to notice a crane ignition system in summit with coil for $200.
Car is a 93 GT with following mods:

full exhaust w/catted x
3:73s
Typhoon upper/lower
ported and milled e7s-stock valve size
Steeda 18 cam
1.7 rr
70mm maf
65mm tb

It wouldn't hurt to have the revlimiter, and the price is right(I was looking at the same thing) But you don't really need it. Just a hot coil would be fine.

On another note, how much did you mill your heads? Did you check PTV clearance with that cam and rocker combo? If so, how much room did you have?

The Rev limiter is a nice insurance plan

Good point on the rev limiter! Heads were milled .030, no ptv issues, don't know exact clearance. Had the luxury of setting it all up with a buddy of mine, who is a master mechanic, he checked the ptv and gave me the O.K.

I just noticed the ad at the top for the new MSD 6AL-2! Has a built in rev limiter, no more pills, as well as a built in 2 step. They also have a laptop programable one comming soon with a plug in for your laptop to tune curve and some other things! I recall it was $270. If I was going to spend money on a box, that sounds likethe way to go.

Thats always how it seems to go doesnt it?

I would like to get one and put it in the glove box if it fits, if not someplace accessable so I can keep the limiter at 2500 for normal driving, just incase I get the urge to floor it, and be able to change it when the situation calls for it. Its nice to have it all in one place too. That programable feature looks really handy for nitrous or forced induction. As far as what I have read so far it sounds like it almost makes it the equivilant of obd2 as far as tuning is concerned.
