Default What Gears

I have a 87 GT Convertible. 5.0, CAI, BBk headers, Off Road H pipe, Flow Masters the rest of the way back. The car is an automatic with stock 2.73 gears. The car is a dog at take off. What gears do you think I should go with. I've been thinking either 3.56 or 3.73. What do you guys think?

No less than 4.10s.. 3.73s will leave you wanting more.

3.73's for a stick period unless u like to shift even more like a madmen its just not necessary for a daily driven vehicle especially if u put any nos or boost to it later u will not want that steep of a gear with a power adder for the street or track as u will just blow the tires off.

if u are planning a little boost or something i would stay in the 3.55-3.73 area

I have a shift kit in it now and as of right now I do a lot of city driving but, might be moving about 6 miles from the city. The next upgrades I would like to do to it is a 65mm throttle body and egr spacer, gt40 heads and a different intake. I don't think I want to do a cam because I would have to switch to mass air and that sounds like a pain but, if I go through and put heads and intake why not do the cam while I'm there. Right now I want to do gears and go from there.
