Default Question About Headers.

Alright our motor is nearing completion, we have a set of BBK long tubes for it and was wondering should we bolt them on before we drop the motor in? From what I've read it seems people have trouble getting the long tubes on when the motors in the car so would it be easier to just put them on before we drop the motor in ?

Couple of pics of motor for anyone who cares,

i dont think youd be able to get it in if u bolted them up before. just lay them in the bay and when you get the motor a few inches above where its saposed to sit then bolt them up.

P.S. I'm pretty sure we're going to attach the trans to the motor before we drop it in if that changes anything.

its much easier with the trans attached but just throw on the headers, and if they dont fit no big deal just take em off. then just do what i said and set them to the side.

your not gonna be able to drop that motor in with long tubes attached. you can only do that with shorties. lay the headers in first and maybe tie them up with some wire and then drop the motor and tranny in. just make sure you dont hit the header tube when you are installing the motor. once the motor is almost in position, bolt up the headers.
