Mufflers are crushed
A few weeks ago I was driving across a road that had been torn up to be repaired, there was a truck in front of me so I didnt see it coming. There was a man hole my exhaust caught it and apparently crushed the heck out of my muffler(flowmasters). Immediately there was an exhaust leak so I figured it must have just pulled a pipe loose and I stopped driving it until today, when I desided to do some work on it.
So anways I was wondering what everyone would suggest I do or get. I was thinking of getting an all new cat back before this happened b/c the old one was old as ***** and came on the car when I got it(hack job at that).
What exhaust systems do you guys all suggest for a currently stock 5.0 with a 5.8 coming. I was thinking about giving the SLP a try.

SLP's sound like a$$ in my opinion. Stick with the flowmasters or go get a MAC setup. There are many choices but there are only a few that most people pic from. Maybe you should try the edelbrock's SDT mufflers. I havn't heard of anyone on here having them but a buddy of mine does and they sound pretty good. But whatever you do get rid of those ugly tail pipes in your sig and get some nice 2 1/2 inch chrome ones.
Stay clear from the SLP's. They sound ok for a 4.6 but not a 5.0. I would go with Flows again or a Magnaflow Stainless catback. The Magnaflow is quieter, but has hardly any drone.
Mac is a nice kit.
pretty easy to install, especially for a person who never installed one before (me) has really nice rolled tips, they are either stainless steel or chrome, but they look awesome
