I'll get them up... letting the camera charge...

cant install them till I get hog rings anyway... I completely forgot about them... they'll ship tomorrow morning, hopefully I will see them on saturday...

if I dont

guess all I'll be doing is removing my rear and passenger seat and stripping them down...

I will, tomorrow and saturday will be devoted to removing the passenger and rear seat (gotta wait for the hog ring kit to come in from cjs... my dumb azz forgot to order them sooner...)

and getting them stripped down and ready for the new fabric.

I can only imagine what I will find hidden under the rear seat... found all sorts of random items under the seat of the '86... from a Pog to a sock... hah

^^^when it was all said and done I spent about 8-10 hrs on my seats....mainly cause I had to fix the tracks and gangsta lean on the drivers side....but all in all it wasn't that bad to do the upholstry.. I thought I 'd have to have a shop do it..but their premade kit fit well!! oh and if you got vynal...one tip!!!! if you don't have a steamer......lay it out in the hot sun 3-4 hours so it'll get hot and be easier to stretch and once it is all on let seats sit out in sun so the sun can heat all wrinkles out..the upholstry shop across the street from our shop always has the seat ..at least the vynal ones ..even today they did sitting out in the sun oh and take your time or you will tear the fabric!!! it'll give your fingers a work out..trust me!!!

thanks for the tips. believe me, I will be tiptoeing through this project. if it takes me a week to do them, hell if it takes methe entire 2 weeks to do them, itwill betime well spent. I had to pull OT at my crappy summer job to save up for this stuff. and I hate going in saturdays, its my only day off

I did know about the setting it out in the sun idea. I also heard a lil bit of silicone spray will help, but I dont think I will use that.

but I'll tell you, the quality of this vinyl is unbeliveable. the texture is so nice, it blows the real leather in my car away... feels so much nicer than the rear seat, which is the nicest out of all of them...
