with a stock 85 block ,f-cam ported e7's and roller tip rockers and performer 289 intake and 600 carb I's run 13.70's /13.80's with 3.45 gears in a 7.5 which is now toast and it has an 8.8 now with 3.73's

 

its a 88 motor, i basically just put all new gaskets on it. new oil pan, timing chain, timing cover, waterpump, harmonic balancer, and an edelbrock rpm air gap intake. Along with nitrous.

painted it, and put the headers on it, so yes its basically a painted stock motor. with spray.

i'm kinda nervous about running spray though, will a 100 shot screw me over?

 

you'll be fine with a 100 shot..just pull 2-3 degrees timing to be on the safe side like if base was 10 degrees ..maybe run 8 base degrees.. for saftey and make sure bottle pressure is at least 900psi to hit hard and purge it when rolling up to the line and spray your heart away!!

came out good man, wish i pulled my motor when i had it apart.

you will run mid/low 13's on nitrous all day... with proper launch and suspension equipment.

 

Hah, maybe mine does.... i haven't even opened the purge kit... ill have to check it out.
