Theyre based on the 351, and theyre awesome race engines. Id love to swap one in, but I drive my car every day. We were gonna throw one in my truck, but we used a 400M instead and built it

Yes a 351 block is used with a 4in stroke crank and a 4.030 in bore with a 6 in rod is the popular combo, you can achieve 408 in 2 or 3 different setup`s. All you need for cu in`s is teh stroke of the crank and bore and you can find the cubic inch of your engine, rod length just determines the style piston you have to use ie: (wrist pin location)
The power is still depending on the topend you use and well bascially the whole setup of the car!
But a 408 with any combo topend will do a great job street or strip! (just harder to hook on the street) lmfao
I want one for my car just cant get the right distrbutor!
