LOL LOL sucks dont it you sound like me at times and I got a lot more years on me then you and I do it for a living. I stopped braking stuff a good many years ago it cost to much to fix LOL. what grade bolt you using? grade 2 LOL. go get a grade 8 bolt and nut and try that. and make sure you are not using a 5/16 bolt where you should be using a 3/8. All fasteners have limits.

theres no room for a torque wrench, first off, the thing is nicely situated about 2 inches away from the gas tank, and the reason it broke, is because, instead of clampling together, the two halfs of the clamp mechanism were going angled, which put too much stress on the bolt, i can get a picture if you dont understand what i mean...

canary. i got a cobra bumper so i could have tailpipes, but its gonna get dumped for now, im about to call the place and ask what it would cost

nseoi, i am perfectly capable of doing it myself, the bolt is what pissed me off the most. and i just dont have the time to keep ****ing with it, putting it it, taking it out, cutting it, it ****ing blows, i have other things i need to do besides **** with a ****tily made part

and mustangsneverdie, ive never broken my hand punchin a door, but i damn near broke my arm stiff arming (stupid idea, when the SECOND timing cover/water pump bolt broke) the punching bag

also, if you cant tell, i have a bad temper, its just me, i get pissed off and basically go out back and lay one good hit on the punching bag and it calms me down, then i vent, and i go hang with my friends and forget about it

also, note to self, and everyone reading

pypes sound awesome, but buy the mufflers and order the flow tubes and tails from someone else

Sounds like me, except I don't have a punching bag, so I usually end up screaming at my dad, reminding him of the stupid decision he had made, then I end up kicking the closest item across the garage and go inside and chill for a while.

im 19, bought the car when i was 17, just a few months before i turned 18...
i could change my oil, thats it lol
i couldnt drive it stock, it had a knock, i wanted to rebuild it, so i started reading, no kidding, this was all i had, these dang forums. my dad helped me take the motor apart and get it out the car...we threw the bolts on a box...5 months later after i finally get the bottom end rebuilt...where did this bolt go and wheres the bolt i need for this... then why is there alots and lots of gold in my oil... o yea i learned the hard way w/ this car lol
part of the reason for the car was to learn, i started working for a dealership right after i got the car running again (then had the bearing failure), and i have been working there for a little over a year. when you work on cars for a living, then you have to go home and work on your own junk for free and pay for parts and whatnot, thats when it blows lol
