Was lookin at trick flow or just gettin a Cobra cause I probably wont be doin anymore upgrades to this engine. Im open for any suggestions

My favorite intake for the street is the GT-40 Tubular intake, is that what you had or did you have the explorer intake?

the cobra and trickflow are probably the cheaper routes and both good performers for the street. i really like the looks of the new black powder coated rpm 2 but its quite a bit more moeny then the cobra

Are you sure you don't have a supercharger hiding under there? Also, before upgrading intakes, make sure the upper intake is properly sealed to the lower intake. I had that problem a couple years ago. Car idled like it had a massive cam. Also, for some reason I also had a crack in the upper part of the intake. Luckily it was small and I had it welded. I was kind of bummed because I was looking forward to buying a Holley Systemax. I think thats a pretty good intake.

for your upgrades typhoon is really good i had one on my car and i made 460rwhp with it. so thats not to bad..... i like it and i think there better than cobras or gt-40s plus more air flow. but mj is right holley and edelbrock are great.... but typhoon for the price is not a bad choice..

To save even more money, I'd advise going for an old Explorer intake instead of the Cobra intake. I know... it's only a MINOR difference, but the Explorer intakes are slightly better through the midrange and they are cheaper than the Cobra intakes (usually.)
