Rough Idle

I have an 87 LX 5.0 and need help in fixing my idle problem. At startup, it starts fine but then dies a couple times and then surges for a few minutes before evening out. I never have any problems once I'm driving it, just at startup. Looking to see if anyone knows how I can fix this. thanks

sticky IAC valve most likely. clean it with some carb cleaner and reinstall with a new gasket.

my car was doing this yesterday, did a base idle reset, everything is fine now

make sure you have no vaccum leaks also

Just to repeat what everyone said and maybe add one more... Clean the IAC with some carb cleaner, check for vacuum leaks, and CAREFULLY clean the MAF sensor wires.
