?? about a 347
My friend and I were having a talk about the engine I plan on building this winter/spring. He was asking how much the cylinders are bored over for a 347 and I couldn't tell him for sure. He is old school and said to stay away from anything with a .0060 over bore because it won't last nearly as long than something with .0030 over. This is what I plan on buying, and it would be great if someone can help me out just so I could know for future reference.
Thanks, I almost forgot for a second that stock bore of a 302 is 4.000. From what I've heard from a couple guys in here that short block is the way to go if you looking for a very reliable 400-450 hp engine.
And I recall MJR46 telling me that you're a TFS guy and he's an AFR guy. I was looking into both and heard that with the right cam and intake combo either head should be good for a 450 hp engine. Could you maybe tell me why you favor the TFS heads?
Not knocking AFR at all but look at there new proposed head, it has alot of twisted wedge similarities ( Rotated chamber- 14.5 degree valve angle)
Oh ya, I sell Canfield, TFS and AFR heads
^^^THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN......I'd reccommend you to anyone!!!! in fact I have heard so much good about the new fast as cast TFS head, I may go with that soon
...I'm not soley partial to AFR guys, I have an open mind

Anything from any of the 3 companies, any afr head, and tfs head, any canfield. Dozens of variations. I would run the 190cc fast as cast wedge head and be done with it, if it dont make 450, dont look under the hood. The 190 is the as cast version of the cnc 185 wedge

If you don't mind me asking what size are the TFS heads you sell? I'm assuming the AFRs are the 185 variety and the Canfield are the 195s.
