removing upper intake

Default removing upper intake

everything is removed from the upper intake except for the hose that runs to the vacuum tree the clamp are soo old maybe that i have never seen one like it . does any one know how to remove them? and i also noticed that in the bold that is closest to the fire wall on the upper intake the is this wierd piece of metal tha connects it to the lower manifold is it okay to dispose this piece of metal?

i think the hose you're talking about is the brake vacuum hose, try breaking the hose loose with some plyers that won't tear it. That metal rod that goes from the lower intake to the firewall is a support, you can get rid of it.

i tried evry thing and that clamp wont go lose so basicly that is the only thing stoppning me from removing the upeer intake

Well if you have everything else already loosened up then if that hose is the very last thing that is connected to it, you should be at least able to move if not pick up the intake a good few inches until the hose is taught. If you can't do that, then there may be something else that you still haven't loosened, but as you said "everything is removed from the upper intake"

yes but the hose is short and the clamps are almost imposible to remove

i think your talking about the crappy clamps that you pinch and that opens them up. Just cut the clamp with some dykes and if you really want to get the intake off cut the hose until you can fig out how to break that clamp

will a normal clamp that has a screw in it work for the vacuum? if it will ill just cut them
