That may be a bit extreme for a street car. The guy that owns that car is planning on putting some real power to the ground. Thats some serious money being laid out right there. Whoever is doing the welding I want him over at my house for a day. That cat has it going on. I can handle a welder fairly well but the guy thats doing that car knows his stuff. Unless you are throwing down 800 hp or more you may not want to go there. What do you plan on doing with your car?

yeah im a cert. welder myself and i have to say his work is on point! i want to build a 500hp streetable car and i just thought that the bar stock going through the floor would give my car some really good stiffness to my t top chassis thats really the only cutting that i would do to the car and then put in a maximum motorsports cage in it. if you guys can pull up some pics of some frame ties or some info links on this it would be very helpful!

happy holidays!

If you do subframes and a cage that will stiffen it up a lot. Don't forget to do the torque boxes too.

Just for the info that is just another version, a more hardcore one at that, of subframe connectors. The good thing about the in floor connectors is that you can still have plenty of ground clearance.

I personally would not want frame ties sticking up in the floorboard of my street car.

Seems a bit excessive for a street car.
