heres mine, nothing out of the unusual. if you have a cage like i do, they make cage gauge pods. i have a 2 1/16" pod for my electric boost controller. and yes, im well aware of the wiring nightmare i have going on near my feet. nothing a couple zip ties cant fix

here are some pics of the install.... i did it and took pics right afterwards without cleaning up my tools, and then threw in a pic of the new hood i got about a month ago for the hell of it!
and slowstang, ya i didnt want to dillydally outside to long, so i did it as fast as possible, hence one of the reasons im waiting on the wiring

I don't know about these monster tachs. When I some gauges they're all going in the instrument cluster, yet it'll be easy since mines an 86, and I'll put a shift light descretely in the dash vent.

Plus, I don't like the idea of having a huge tach just sitting on the top of the dash for everyone to see and temp the hoodlums.

Nevertheless it looks good!

i dont even know what they go to LOL. i put it all in but it was one small step at a time. i know if i traced each wire individually i could figure it out. a lot of wires powering those gauges down there. also all the switches next to and on my shifter run through there as well. then the modual that interprets engine rpm and throttle possition so the wide band can record it is down there.

I mounted my 5" tachometer just like you did. I have my shift light on the left side rather than right. I will see if my ol lady will go take me a pic of it. and I will post it on here.

I believe you need a little connector plug if using an auto gage and not auto meter ?
