Quick Question: My daughter has a 1991 Mustang GT with about 147k miles on it ...today I added 1 quart of Oil (about 2k miles) and I noticed some Antifreeze on the inside of the Oil Cap (appears to be coming from the EGR)... dip stick is clean!...What is causing this? ...thanks!

 

i see the brownish white slime on the oil caps of lots of cars at work. i was told that if not excessive its normal, just water vapor collecting in the highest point of the motor

Check EGR spacer gaskets at the throttle body. Just in case.

 

yup i have noticed that to be very common on the 4.6 engines

most likely condensation that forms, I've seen it alot before on other cars

 

yes i know its a 5.0 i was just saying in general i see it most common on the 4.6's
