gas tank issue

Default gas tank issue

When i put gas in my car it backs up and will only take 4 dollars worth.. the guy i bought it front said i would have to stick a metal stick down to open the bottom flap and use a funnel to get the gas in which makes me look like a *** plus makes it a pain in the *** .. do you guys know how to fix this ?

Junkyard feeler neck would be a start...Also make sure the tank is vented properly before changing the neck.

yeah thats what i was thinking the little vent dumps by the exhaust cause when i over filled it was coming out from there?

The vent should be hooked to tank..If not then you might of found your problem..

id say check to make sure your tank is vented properly ... sounds like you might be gettn air built up in the tank while fueling... let us know what ya figure out

Check the vent.

ok im gonna check into that tomorrow before i take it to get inspected.. if i fail because of that im gonna be pissed so im gonna try and save myself getting mad lol thanks guys sounds like i will prolly find it to be that

the other thing is the gas gauge is burried all teh way up past full.. could the built up pressure do that too
