Around here every craigslist add I see about a 5.0 says they are EXTREMELY FAST lol. Is it like that around everyone else too? Yea they are fast but all of them, even stock ones are extreme lol.

Reminds me of kids in high school....my car is REALLY fast....because they haven't been in a real car and don't know the difference.

if a stock 5.0 is extremely fast what are our cars? Most of us run at least high 13's and lower lol.

That is how I sold my first mustang to the first guy who got a test ride. I heard him say under his breath "Dam this car is fast". He showed up that afternoon and paid cash. The car was only an upper 13 sec 5 speed car. Apparently he had never been in a fast street car, much less a bad to da bone drag car.

"FAST" is relative....like an opinion it depends on who is saying it. They might be fast to them lol...But i completely get what your sayin..its very comical. I've seen local cars i know being listed as "very fast", and i know better.

stock 5 speed 5.0s feel pretty damn fast to most people.


Like is said on here all the time, regardless of 1/4 mile times, 300 ft/lbs in a car that weighs a little over 3k pounds can give a more impressive sensation than, say a Newer M3 or something that is WAY faster on paper.

i thought mine felt quick, but yesturday i rode in a 600 hp kennbell 03 cobra. My car feels like a slug now lol
