yeah it was coming in at like 3k rpms, it wasnt like a real bad oneit would shake the shifter but u really couldnt feel it. i pulled the tranny found out the rinf gear on the flywheel wasnt pressed on allthe way, i had a motor mount nut missing, and my tranny mount was shot.

so i got the ring gear pressed all the way on and bought the tranny mount, and cross member bushings from 50resto, and no the vibration comes in at like 2k and its pretty bad, i can feel it on my butt in the seat

Default Update

so i put the car on the stands, started it and looked through the fork hole, and you could see the pressure plate kinda wobbling, give it gas and it would wobble harder. so i drove it real slow to the father in laws and once again started tearing it down. when we got the bellhousing off you could see there was more flywheel shoing on one side between the pressure plate bolts and the edge of the flywheel.

Here come the im so damn dumb part, there were no dowl pins in the flywheel. We got to looking deeper into what it was and you could see were the pressure plate was wearing the bolt holes bigger. so im pretty sure it was all because i had no dowl pins lining it up and holding the pressure plate in the middle to keep it balanced, ny info would be appreciated, do yall think this was my prob?

Are you saying that the pressure plate was offset to one side... because of the bolt holes are getting wollered out and won't hold it together? Is that what I read? If that is the case, then yes, enough weight offset to one side will cause an imbalance. I cant see why you PP is offsetting itself and your still able to shift gears. If it were me and my stuff, I'd throw that Fly Wheel in the damm garbage and get a new one.

It has been over 10 years since I put a clutch in a Foxbody, but I can't seem to recall any Dowel pins sticking out of my fly wheel when I did mine. But like I said, it was over 10 years ago and I have partied entirely to much to remember something that far back.
