What exactly is the difference in the interceptor 5.0 and the 5.0 i know they use the interceptor in cop cars but mechanically is there a big difference?

I don't think there was a difference ? And you say they use it in interceptors ? I'm going to assume you mean the old fox body ones, because nowadays they all have the modular 4.6

You don't seem to know enough about what you're talking about to even ask a question about it

I had a neighbor with a Florida high way patrol car. I think it was an 89 notch I do remember them having pulleys a bigger amperage alternator And some kind of brace for the seats with stepper gears. I think that's the only difference between an inspector and a stock mustang. Why do you want to know?

Most SSP cars came with most if not all of the following add-ons

Oil cooler, silicone hoses with aircraft style hose clamps, autos had a tranny cooler, factory stainless headers, heavy duty front and rear sway bars, calibrated 140 or 160 mph speedo, upgraded 130 or 135 amp alternator, relocated trunk release, reinforced seat pans, single key for doors and trunk, full size spare..there are a few more i'm forgetting but those are some of the useful ones I dig on my FHP car.minus the auto trans cooler cause its 5 speed.

I assume that you are talking about a police interceptor crown vic? If you are I think the main difference was dual exhaust and a different suspension.

I assume that he has even less idea than you do about what he's taking about.
